Protecting Your Plumbing in King County

Tacoma Plumbing InspectionIf you plan on buying a home in the Washington area, a King County video camera inspection can help as it locates drain blockages. Many new homeowners run into plumbing problems their first time around. This happens as most home inspectors can’t catch them in time.

Your plumbing lines lie deep within and unless you have X-ray vision, you’re not going to see the problems until it is too late. You can have a broken sewer line with running water going through it temporarily and experience problems later.

King County video camera inspections will help you to find these and other well known problems. Your problems will be able to be properly diagnosed using this method as there is no guess work involved in the following areas of the county:

  • Seattle
  • Bellevue
  • Kent
  • Redmond
  • Bothell
  • Kirkland

Video camera inspections is a new plumbing technology that is used in everyday plumbing work. It is a very valuable tool because it is more accurate than anything else. It allows you to know what’s going on inside of your drains and sewer lines. There are lots of problems that a video camera inspection can pinpoint. The inspections work by placing a small, live feed into a pipe. From there you can have a clearer picture of what’s going on deep inside the lines.

Common problems where these camera inspections can seek out are any of the following:

  • Damaged Pipes
  • Blockage
  • Root Infestation
  • Corrosion
  • Leaks

Camera plumbing inspections take all of the guess work out. With instants shots and a full camera display, nothing will be missed. And, you won’t feel as though you’re getting the run around from your plumber. The evidence will be right in front of your face. You’ll be presented with a copy, in most cases, of the problem. This way you’ll have a record of when the problem was brought to your attention and by who.
Root infestations and other plumbing pipe problems can easily be manged with a video camera inspection. It is the fastest way to diagnose your plumbing problems, so there’s less chance of them happening ever again.

You’ll be able to save a lot of money by having this done. You won’t face major drain or sewer line problems in the future nor will you have to think about having a sewer line replacement done.

Seattle Water Heaters

Storage water heaters are by far the most common type of water heater in the U.S. today. Ranging in size from 20 to 80 gallons (or larger) and fueled by electricity, natural gas, propane, or oil, storage water heaters work by heating up water in an insulated tank. When you turn on the hot water tap, hot water is pulled out of the top of the water heater and cold water flows into the bottom to replace it. Because heat is lost through the walls of the storage tank (this is called standby heat loss), energy is consumed even when no hot water is being used. New energy-efficient storage water heaters contain higher levels of insulation around the tank, substantially reducing standby heat loss.
